FULLRIVER BATTERY GROUP TEAMS UP WITH TOYOTA GAZOO RACING UK FOR 2024 BTCC SEASON

Fewkes Sport Management is delighted to reveal that Fullriver Battery Group will sponsor TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK in 2024 as the Cheshire-based racing outfit targets overall success in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.

Making its first foray into the UK’s premier motorsport series, the global battery brand will look to catapult its Full Throttle Series range into a brand-new market with its logo being carried on both Toyota Corolla GR Sport machines this year.

Having successfully established itself in the United States of America, the California-founded company is keen to take advantage of the BTCC’s invested audience and unrivalled reach to showcase the capabilities of its batteries.

Renowned for its premium nature, unlike many of its competitors, all Fullriver batteries are produced, from start to finish, in-house at the company’s award-winning manufacturing facilities, ensuring total quality control.

Intrinsic in bringing the deal together has been FSM, who as of September 2023 have exclusively worked with Fullriver to consult on the strategic growth of their automotive Full Throttle Series within Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) – with an emphasis on sports sponsorship.

Run by championship and race-winning outfit Speedworks Motorsport, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK will field a two-car line-up in the competitive tin-top category this year with Andrew Watson confirmed to drive in one car while the second driver will be announced in due course.

Patrick Leibrich, Fullriver Battery President, said: “Full Throttle Battery is thrilled to participate as a sponsor for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK in the BTCC in 2024. We believe that the BTCC will be an excellent way to kick-start the launch of our brand in the UK market and what better team to work with than TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK!”

“We are delighted to bring Fullriver Battery on-board, and honoured that the brand has chosen TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK as its partner in the BTCC,” added TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK Team Principal, Christian Dick.

“Fullriver has established a proven track record in the battery industry, and like us, is dedicated to delivering a first-class performance in every area, so the synergies are clear to see.

“Fullriver was attracted to the BTCC by the series’ strong B2B and B2C links, making the championship the perfect platform to support the strategic growth of its innovative Full Throttle range. We look forward to playing our part in that exciting journey.”

The 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season begins at Donington Park on the 27/28 April, with every round broadcast live and in high-definition on free-to-air ITV channels.
