Fewkes Sport Management athletes Gilles Magnus, Sandy Mitchell and Finlay Lines showcased their talents on the European stage this past weekend (October 4-5), as the trio scooped a plethora of accolades.
As the 2025 motorsport season heads towards its crescendo, the thriving sports-management business – which is headed up by Will Fewkes and former FIA World Touring Car Champion Rob Huff – recently battled for honours across three countries.
At the legendary Hockenheimring in Germany, Magnus brought the curtain down on his maiden season in DTM by delivering one of his most competitive performances to-date with Comtoyou Racing.
Behind the wheel of his Aston Martin Vantage GT3, the Belgian racer produced a strong showing during Saturday’s track running, however it was on Sunday where he really shone as he wrote his name into the history books of the prestigious championship.
The 26-year-old emerged as the driver to beat in the final qualifying session of the year as he lowered the previous lap record by more than two tenths of a second to claim a maiden pole for himself, and Aston Martin.
Magnus would go on to lead the opening exchanges of the season finale too, and looked on course to challenge for his first-ever win in the series, before a suspension failure cruelly robbed him of making it to the finish.
In the UK, Lamborghini factory driver Mitchell closed out the British GT Championship season in style as he, along with Barwell Motorsport team-mate Alex Martin, claimed a crushing victory at Donington Park.
Mitchell – who lifted the coveted crown in 2020 – took on driving duties for the final stint in the two-hour finale and was wheel-perfect as he overhauled the sister Lamborghini of Hugo Cook and Rob Collard to triumph.
Such was the dominance of the Scotsman, Mitchell picked up the fastest lap en route to a commanding win. One that saw him finish a staggering 31 seconds clear of his closest challenger.
More silverware was claimed in Spain as talented rising star Lines surged to victory in the Junior category of the Tillotson’s T4 Nations Cup, which was held at the International Kartodromo Lucas Guerrero in Valencia.
Hot on the heels of securing a top-eight finish in the FIA Karting Academy Junior Trophy, the second-generation racer helped Team UK reclaim the Nations Cup by six points over the Netherlands.
In what was one of his most scintillating showings of the year, Lines was flawless on Spanish ground to finish inside the top-two in his heats before arguably saving his best till last in what was a pulsating final.
Starting in 15th, Lines – who was touted as one to watch going into the event – produced an overtaking masterclass to charge up the order and take the lead with a handful of laps remaining. Once out front, he pulled clear to claim a famous win for his country.

Will Fewkes, FSM Founder, said: “This past weekend was earmarked as one of the biggest of the season for our drivers, so we’re naturally delighted to see the results that Gilles, Sandy and Finlay were able to achieve.
“All three drivers have continued to elevate their performances over the course of this season and to see them deliver was brilliant. Each of them have other events coming up, so I’m sure this will only serve as motivation to continue this front-running momentum.”
Rob Huff, FSM Performance Pathway Director, added: “Seeing Gilles, Sandy and Finlay performing at the very highest level gave me a great sense of pride and it was fantastic to see their efforts ultimately be rewarded.
“To have three elite athletes competing across three different countries, and in different disciplines, speaks volumes for the foundations that we are establishing here at FSM to allow these drivers – and many others like them – to go on and achieve even greater success.”
