LAMBORGHINI FACTORY DRIVER SANDY MITCHELL SIGNS WITH FEWKES SPORT MANAGEMENT

Fewkes Sport Management is delighted to announce that it is now representing Sandy Mitchell, a global star of endurance racing that is not only a factory Lamborghini driver, but also a former British GT Championship title winner.

Held in high esteem as one of the most gifted GT drivers at present, Mitchell is the latest high-profile athlete to align with FSM, where he will be managed by Will Fewkes and former FIA World Touring Car Champion, Rob Huff.

The experienced duo will work closely with the 25-year-old both on and off the track as he looks to progress his storied career, whilst further cementing his status as a leading light in sportscar racing across Europe and the rest of the world.

After clinching multiple titles in karting and a successful campaign in single-seaters, the Scotsman burst onto GT scene in 2016 where he instantly made his mark by becoming the youngest British GT pole sitter and race winner in GT4.

From that moment, Mitchell was one to watch as he firstly claimed a number of standout results in the Blancpain GT Endurance Series, before starring in the coveted Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America Championship in 2019 – coming close to a brace of titles.

The following year Mitchell returned to British GT and duly swept aside the opposition as he teamed up with Barwell Motorsport and Rob Collard. Claiming the overall title in the series, the Forfar-born racer underlined his dominance by tallying back-to-back class victories at the prestigious 24 Hours of Spa event.

Mitchell’s devastating speed and consistency has since seen him finish no lower than fourth in British GT with Barwell and he has also expanded his racing programme to become a front-running fixture in the prestigious GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS.

At this year’s edition of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, Mitchell was a driving force behind his team leading the race on multiple occasions and in particular, guiding them from sixth to first during his opening double stint at the prestigious event.

As a Lamborghini factory driver, Mitchell’s rise to stardom has been nothing short of impressive. With a recent debut in the GTD Pro class of IMSA now also added to his résumé, the Scottish ace has plenty more triumphant years ahead of him.

Sandy Mitchell: “I am super excited to be joining Fewkes Sport Management; I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me working jointly with Will and Rob.

“Their vast motorsport knowledge and experience will help me continue to push forward in my professional driving career on and off the track.”

Will Fewkes, FSM Founder: “We’re delighted to welcome Sandy to Fewkes Sport Management. When you look at what he’s already achieved – all by the young age of 25 – it’s clear to see that he will be a generational talent when it comes to GT racing.

“He’s someone that both myself and Rob have admired for a long time – so to now be able to work with him is hugely exciting. We’re united in our goals and have a clear idea of how we can help Sandy fulfil his potential moving forward.”

Rob Huff, FSM Performance Pathway Director: “Echoing what Will has said, I’m thrilled to be able to welcome Sandy into the FSM athlete programme. He’s a top-class driver that has been operating at a high level for a number of years, and I think he will continue to only get better.

“Sandy has made a real name for himself in Europe, so our job is to maintain his upward trajectory in and out of the car, and ensure he has all the tools necessary to make his mark on a global scale.”
