Finlay Lines will race in the Junior Class of the 2025 FIA Karting Academy Trophy Championship after being selected to represent Motorsport UK, the national membership organisation and governing body for four-wheel motorsport in the UK.
The talented 13-year-old – who joined Fewkes Sport Management in late 2024 – is set to embark on his biggest season to-date this year with a number of racing programmes now locked in; with the FIA Karting Academy Trophy being the latest.
Launched in 2010, the FIA Karting Academy Trophy is a unique competition designed to pit the best young kart racers – aged between 12 and 14 – from around the world against each other on equal terms.
Drivers are randomly assigned karts with OTK chassis and equipped with Vortex engines from the OK-Junior category, while a controlled tyre is also used to ensure parity across the board.
The 2025 campaign will play out across three rounds, starting in Valencia, Spain on May 15-18. Round two takes place in Germany on July 17-20 before the season concludes in Cremona, Italy on September 25-28.

Finlay Lines: “I’m delighted to announce that I will be representing Motorsport UK in the Junior Class of the 2025 FIA Karting Academy Trophy Championship.
“It’s a great honour to have been chosen to take part and represent my country, where I will be racing against drivers from around the world on an equal playing field. This is without doubt an amazing opportunity for me.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my karting journey so far, my team bosses, driver coaches and to my fellow competitors that I’ve raced against down the years.”
Will Fewkes, FSM Founder: “To be selected to represent Motorsport UK is a huge achievement and a testament to all of the hard work that Finlay and his team have been putting into his racing over the past few years.
“Since he joined FSM, we’ve seen first-hand just how dedicated to his craft Finlay is and having this experience of competing on the world stage will undoubtedly see him elevate his game behind the wheel even further.”
Rob Huff, FSM Performance Pathway Director: “It’s fantastic that Finlay has been selected by the UK’s national governing body – it’s a real endorsement that he’ll be representing the country on the world stage.
“There’s no denying that Finlay has natural raw talent and I’m sure that that will shine through over the course of the season. I’ve no doubt that he will grab this opportunity with both hands and make his mark on the competition.”
